Originally from Hungary, the Vizsla is a medium-sized, short-coated hunting dog that is essentially Pointer in type, although he combines characteristics of both pointer & retriever. He is a “dual” dog, popular in both the field & the show ring due to power & drive while hunting & his trainability in the home. The Vizsla is lively, gentle mannered, demonstrably affectionate & sensitive though fearless with a well developed protective instinct (adapted from the AKC breed standard for Vizslas). Taylor wins in Edison!

Taylor was HOT this weekend, we passed this sign every day, hoping it was an omen of good things to come & it was!

First winning Best of Breed at the Big Apple Sporting Society show, Taylor went on to win the Breed at both the New Brunswick KC show & the Bronx Co. KC show. The fourth day he took Select award. The entries were large with some nice Vizslas challenging!

west of the Hudson river and just north of New York City lies the small town of Suffern, in Rockland County. Here the winter winds and snow flurries brought luck to Avatar Vizslas! The first day Taylor and Carissa won Best of Breed , and the next day took a Select Award .
